Rob Schneider Says Adam Sandler Checks in on Him Every Week: ‘He’s a Special Cat’ (Exclusive)

Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler's close friendship is still going strong after all these years. While supporting Sandler at the New York City premiere of his new Netflix comedy special Adam Sandler: Love You on Tuesday, Aug. 20, Schneider, 60, spoke to PEOPLE about how the Murder Mystery 2 star, 57, has been a steadfast friend to him. "There's not been a week in 30 years where he doesn't check in on me. I mean, that's true. No matter where I am in the world, I'll get a phone call, sometimes in the middle of the night," Schneider says. "He called me from Italy, [and said], 'What are you doing?' I go, 'It's two o'clock in the morning.' 'Well get up. I need to talk to you. Are you good?' "
